The Enchanted Garden makes a wonderful children’s garden

The Enchanted Garden

This very special garden was created in 2002 in memory of Neville Labovitch LVO MBE whose work included chairing the Royal Parks Tree Appeal and charitable work with children. This garden introduced the Heat Exchanger, an inexpensive system that heats water allowing tropical plants to thrive in the UK climate.

Awarded an RHS Bronze medal, the garden shows how a family garden might be transformed into a fairytale, seen through the eyes of a child. Entered through a low gate there is a pond to the left, a stream and a bridge with carved toadstools. Pond and streamside plants – such as water lilies, hosta and astilbe – are featured alongside woodland plants.
