Beach weather?

The sun has been shining in the South and for a few days it felt like summer. After a few exciting meetings, I have been asked by The British Plant Nursery Guide to design a trade stand at the Chelsea Flower Show with a beach theme complete with  Morris Minor Traveller car. It has been fun getting together ideas for plants and props and thinking about the beach and warm weather.

All the nurseries are briming with plants and as I travel around sourcing for clients, I marvel at nature everywhere. The sides of the roads are swollen with wonderful bright yellow daffodils and trees are heavy in blossom which makes long journeys so much more rewarding.

March as a month can be quite dull and there are always the April showers to look forward to, but hearing bird song and the longer days hints at what beauty is to come. So much pleasure can be had from enjoying the new growth and just pottering around the garden. Look out for all the gardens that are opening this month either in the Yellow Book or the National Trust properties for example- there are some wonderful landscapes to drink in.
